Ingredients
– 500 g waxy potatoes
– 400 g Kernser Älplermagronen (Alpine macaroni)
– 400 g grated Sbrinz AOP
– 2 large onions cut into rings
– Butter for frying
– Salt for salt water
– Applesauce
Preparation
Peel potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces and boil in the same salted water as the macaroni. Place the potatoes and pasta in layers with Sbrinz in a gratin dish. Cut three large cooking onions into rings and fry in butter until crisp. Spread the onions on top. Cook gratin in the oven at 200 degrees for a few minutes.
Optional: Serve with applesauce.
